architects, idealism, clients, reality: how do we balance these factors to achieve success?

i think this little back and forth can help balance our thinking about our project, and hopefully make it a success for the community.

i think a sort of damning quote from the architect in the video, which kind of showed a desire to bestow some sort of ideological gift to the residents is, "we live big, and we kind of think we should live smaller."  this was juxtaposed with a resident lamenting the narrow rooms stacked three stories.

Holden Heights

This is the Holden Heights neighborhood. The area that this project focuses on is NW of I4 and E of Clear Lake. Make sure you check out the CAD file I have started in the Google Drive folder. It outlines the Holden Heights area that is included within the City versus the area included in the County. Let me or Stephen know if you are unable to access the Google Drive.

Heres an image that came out of the CAD file. This is the Orange County portion of Holden Heights. The city-owned portion is located directly North of this zone (its a layer in the Cad file).
