Dear Community Partners & Stakeholders,
With a growing interest around creating resilient local food systems, there has been an influx in food and farming projects throughout the City of Orlando, specifically in the West Orlando Neighborhoods. The UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program, along with Green Works Orlando, and Commissioner Regina Hill, would like to invite you to join other community members and organization leaders to discuss what challenges and opportunities related to food production, distribution, access, education, and waste exist in your organizations.
Using the model provided by Good Food Central Florida, our local food policy council which creates a forum for community members and organization leaders to address food security on a regional level, this group would create an opportunity to have those conversations on a more neighborhood-based scale.
We would like to invite you, or someone in your organization, to join. Please limit attendance to one per organization. Please RSVP via EventBrite: https://www.
When: Saturday, April 1 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Where: Orange County Extension Office (6021 S. Conway Rd.)
Light bites and coffee will be provided.
Thank you, Caitlyn Glatting 6021 S. Conway Rd.
