This building by Renzo Piano Building Workshop has some very elegant connections of different materials. The overall form of the building is interesting and lends itself well to a science center. The vegetative roof system is a great way to combine the landscape with the building. I think this type of system could be interesting if applied to a shipping container project as well. I would like to investigate ways that a vegetative roof could help with insulation as well as collecting rainwater for building utility uses.
