The Denver International Airport uses stretched material to create a unique roof condition. Originally applied as a solution to a budgetary problem, Fentress Architects used it as the main design element of the project. I would like to introduce some kind of wrap or fabric material to the envelop of the container project.
The High Line by Morphosis and Thom Mayne found huge success in their reuse of urban infrastructure. It introduces the primary element of foliage and green space as a new layer to the composition. I would like to introduce green space as a component of envelope in the container project.
The Jewish Museum of Berlin by Libeskind takes a largely stereotomic mass and makes abstract carvings to allow unique opportunities of light, shadow, and view interact with the space. I would like to explore the ability to carve and create negative to the envelope in the container project.
