Container Trip Jacksonville

1. The extensions of a 40' are all the same thickness.

2. Small containers are typically military.

3. Reefers can have the machinery a little up higher with a kick plate that forces the cold air down or  it can have it lower with direction to the ground.

4. "C" channels are visible from under the container

5. Stacking of containers happens solely on the corner posts. A stack of 6 containers has its support on all corner posts. What happens if one container is slightly off? Will the total weight be enough to keep them from falling?

6. Tanks carry all kinds of liquids.

7. Reefers should get stacked in the same place do to power and exhaust fans.

8. The difference in temperature inside a reefer is very noticeable compared to the temperature in standard container.

9. Chassis are used to transport containers.

10. Containers with no roof panel have bars that go from one side to the other.

11. Containers over 40' don't have center lift pockets for pick up. Instead they must be lifted.

12. How do you frame the insulation in a reefer for a window or a door if you were to cut an opening?

13. Any dent will result in pools of water, which will result in rusting, which will result in holes.

14. Sand used for blasting is made up of small beads of steel.
